The Walt Disney Company is donating a major gift of equipment for the construction of a community playground at Hopkins House's new preschool academy in Herndon, Virginia. This gift is dedicated in memory of Don Flynn, a Disney company employee who resided in Herndon with his family.

KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that all kids get a childhood filled with the balance and active play needed to thrive, is coordinating the gift and providing technical expertise for the planning and construction of the playground.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help install the equipment, organize arts & crafts for the children of the volunteers, prepare lunch, and play music to make the construction day a festive event.  Free t-shirts and child care provided for volunteers.
