Trustees James L. & Juliette McNeil are pleased to announce a gift of $27,000 to Hopkins House. This major gift will be used to purchase a state-of-the-art curriculum support and performance assessment tool, and to underwrite the cost of snow storm damage repairs to the ABC Building.
The lion’s share of this gift will be used to purchase Creative Curriculum Gold Plus. Creative Curriculum Gold Plus is a robust software and assessment tool that will enable our preschool academy faculty to plan classroom activities for our Young Scholars, track their progress, and inform decisions that meet their developmental needs. A key component of this tool is the use of computer tablets to record student activities in real time. This new tool will be used on all three of our academy campuses.
The remainder of this gift will be used to underwrite the cost to repair damage to the ABC Building caused by the recent snow storm. The ABC Building houses the James L. & Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy. The heavy snow inflicted damage to the building’s roof and gutters, as well as to some of the HVAC equipment.
This is the first major gift solicited through the newly established Hopkins House
Fund for Children, Youth, and Families.
"We are enormously grateful to Mr. & Mrs. McNeil for their continuing generosity to the children, youth, and families of Hopkins House", said President J. Glenn Hopkins in accepting the gift to Hopkins House.
