Academy Handbook
The Academy Handbook is your reference to the policies, procedures, and practices for the early care and education of the young scholars enrolled in the Hopkins House preschool academy. The handbook contains information about academy hours of operation, holiday closings, and emergency procedures.
The handbook is updated annually and published at the beginning of each preschool year; and, is available for viewing or copying on the Hopkins House website.
For the smooth operation of the academy, parents of our preschool young scholars are asked to adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the handbook. Parents are also required to acknowledge in writing that they understand and agree to abide by the policies in the handbook (a form is provided for this purpose and kept on file in the academy office).
The policies in the handbook are developed and promulgated on behalf of the Hopkins House Board of Trustees by its Programs & Assessment Committee. The committee is comprised of trustees and staff, as well as parent representatives designated by the Parents Council. Recommendations for changes or additions to policies may be submitted by any parent of a current preschool academy young scholar through the Parents Council.
