The young scholars attending the Hopkins House – James L. & Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy in Fairfax, Virginia, are celebrating the debut of their new kid-designed playground. The months-long collaboration between Hopkins House, Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation, and KABOOM! culminated this week as more than 150 volunteers installed the new play space, which will offer more than 140 kids a high-quality, safe place to play that is close to where they live and learn.

Hopkins House announces creation of college scholarships in memory of trustees Clarence A. Johnson and Willard O. Jasper, who both passed away within months of each other at the start of this preschool year. This is the first time in more than 60 years the organization will grant college scholarships.
