Today, the President announced the appointment of Ms. KAREN BIEBER as Principal of Hopkins House's Innovative Preschool Academy in Herndon, Virginia. Ms. Stephanie Menson-Turner has announced that she will be stepping down as academy principal at the end of the school year in order to pursue post-graduate studies full time. Ms. Turner-Menson, who leaves the position on July 7, will transition to a temporary role at Hopkins House for the summer as as special assistant to the president for program compliance and training, prior to entering graduate school in the fall.

Ms. Bieber, who takes over as academy principal on July 8, joined the Hopkins House administration in January of this year as Master Teacher. She formerly served as director of an early childhood center in Reston, Virginia. She has a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and over 20 years of professional experience in early care and education.

"Ms. Menson-Turner set a very high standard of excellence at the Innovative Preschool Academy," said Hopkins, "And I am confident that Ms. Bieber will build upon this high standard and bring the academy to a new level of excellence. She has a great deal of experience not only managing child care centers but getting them star rated." Her top priority in the first six months of her administration, in addition to increasing student enrollment, is to get the academy accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
