October 21, 2015 04:54 PM

Hopkins House announces the appointment of Mr. Ted E. Lewis to the position of Assistant Vice President / Chief Development Officer.

Mr. Lewis has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Mason University, formerly served as an executive at National Wildlife Federation, The College Fund/UNCF, and International Society on Hypertension in Blacks.

He will also serve as Executive Director of "The Hopkins House Fund", a newly created quasi-independent arm of Hopkins House. In this position, Mr. Lewis is responsible for helping to build the organization's resource development capacity through increased private donations, corporate and business support, and government funding.

"Ted has worked for several very distinguished national nonprofits," President J. Glenn Hopkins said in announcing the appointment.  "He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and contacts that we hope to leverage in generating increased revenue to Hopkins House in order to ensure that our programs and services remain accessible and affordable to low- and middle-income working families."
