Innovative Preschool Academy Earns State Quality Rating

October 17, 2016 12:52 AM
Hopkins House announced that its Innovative Preschool Academy in Herndon, Virginia, earned a quality rating from Virginia Quality, the Commonwealth's quality rating and improvement system (VQRIS).

Administered by the Smart Beginnings initiative of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation, VQRIS is a community of leading child care providers across the Commonwealth of Virginia. By voluntarily joining Virginia Quality, these providers show their staffs, families and communities that they are committed to high quality early care and education services for young children.

To earn a quality rating, child care providers must submit to a rigorous set of nationally recognized quality standards and best practices covering four domains: Teacher Education & Quality Standards; Curriculum & Assessment; Environment; and, Classroom Interactions.

"The Innovative Preschool Academy is our newest preschool. That they were able to earn this quality distinction this soon is indication of the hard work the faculty and staff have put into making the academy a high quality early learning center for the children in the Herndon and Reston community," said Hopkins House President J. Glenn Hopkins.

All three Hopkins House preschool academies are now quality rated.
