Updated website improves public access to Hopkins House programs, services, and opportunities for engagement
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Today, the Hopkins House Community Outreach & Marketing Committee unveiled a significant refresh of the organization’s website, introducing a more contemporary look and improved navigation designed to strengthen Hopkins House’s connection with families, donors, community partners, and the broader community.
The website refresh was completed this past summer under the guidance of the Community Outreach & Marketing Committee, chaired by newly elected Trustee Mary Lee, and implemented by University of Maryland Professor Lance Wain and his colleagues at Grafik.
The refreshed website incorporates the new Hopkins House logo, which were designed by University of Maryland students, and new color palette, creating a more contemporary and consistent visual identity across the organization’s digital presence. The website refresh also included an improved Home page and streamlined navigation, making it easier for visitors to learn about Hopkins House programs and services and find opportunities to enroll, donate, volunteer, and otherwise become involved.
“Our website is often the first introduction a family, prospective donor, volunteer, or community partner has to Hopkins House, so it is important that it reflects both who we are today and where we are headed,” said Mary Lee, Chair of the Community Outreach & Marketing Committee. “This refresh gives us a more welcoming, accessible, and contemporary digital presence. And it makes it easier for visitors to connect with our mission and find the information they need. I am especially grateful to Committee member Neeti Patel for her leadership and contributions throughout this project, Professor Lance Wain, his students, and his colleagues at Grafik for bringing their expertise and creativity to our vision.”
The updated website provides Hopkins House with a stronger digital platform to support several organizational priorities, including student recruitment, fundraising, marketing, volunteer engagement, and community outreach. It also provides a more cohesive presentation of the organization’s expanding work in early childhood education, educator workforce development, and family support.
“The Community Outreach & Marketing Committee did a terrific job updating our website; it looks great,” said J. Glenn Hopkins, President and CEO of Hopkins House. “Our new visual identity and refreshed look helps us tell the Hopkins House story more effectively while giving the families and communities we serve a clearer pathway to engage with our programs and mission,”
The website refresh is part of a broader effort by the Community Outreach & Marketing Committee to strengthen public awareness of Hopkins House, enhance the consistency of its communications and branding, and expand engagement with current and prospective families, supporters, volunteers, and community partners.
Founded in 1939, Hopkins House is a nonprofit organization serving children, families, and early childhood educators in Northern Virginia through its Preschool Academies, Early Childhood Learning Institute, and family support programs.
