Alexandria, VA — Hopkins House is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2026 Spring2ACTion fundraising campaign, raising a total of $11,422 for its Preschool Academy Scholarship Fund — exceeding its $10,000 goal.
“We are so deeply thankful to the donors to this year’s campaign,” said J. Glenn Hopkins, President and CEO of Hopkins House. “These gifts, given during challenging times, are a powerful expression of hope, ensuring that the continuity of care for our young scholars in the Hopkins House Preschool Academy will not be disrupted.”
Funds raised through the annual Spring2ACTion campaign directly support scholarships that make high-quality early childhood education accessible to children from low-resourced, working families. This year’s funds are especially critical, as Hopkins House responds to a significant and unexpected increase in requests for preschool tuition assistance from families experiencing employment disruptions.
“The generosity of our donors allows us to meet this growing need,” said Robert Hicks, Chair of Hopkins House’s Scholarships & Recognitions Committee. “Their support ensures that our Preschool Academy Young Scholars can continue learning and growing in a stable, nurturing environment while their families work to regain stability.”
Since its founding in 1939, Hopkins House has been a cornerstone of the Northern Virginia community, providing early childhood education, before- and after-school care, and career-building programs to hundreds of families each year.
Over the past decade alone, donor support has enabled Hopkins House to provide more than $1.29 million in preschool tuition assistance, helping 585 children access safe, high-quality early learning opportunities.
