Alexandria, VA — Today, Hopkins House released its 2025 Community Impact Report, showcasing significant strides in advancing equity and opportunity for children, youth, and families across the Northern Virginia region.
During the program year from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, Hopkins House invested more than $3.5 million — 85% of the organization’s total expenditures for that period — into programs and services, including nearly $90,000 in scholarships and basic needs assistance to families facing financial hardship.
The organization provided safe, high-quality early childhood education to 267 children, delivered college and career advancement programs to 149 teens and adults, and offered tutoring and enrichment to 38 school-age students through its Hopkins House Kids Project.
“Our impact is the result of the tireless commitment of our educators, donors, and volunteers to our mission,” said J. Glenn Hopkins, President & CEO. “Together, we served 416 individuals — a 20% increase over the previous year — and employed over 50 dedicated professionals in meaningful, well-compensated roles.”
The report also highlights key initiatives such as the launch of a groundbreaking study on male representation in early childhood education, the graduation of 25 Preschool Academy students, and credentialing of 18 Early Childhood Learning Institute students.
During the 2024-2025 program year, Hopkins House received over $953,000 in donations, grants, and pledges and logged more than 300 volunteer hours in service to its mission. “We are enormously grateful for the community’s trust and support as we continue building brighter futures for the children, youth, and families of Hopkins House,” said Hopkins.
