As parents return to the workplace, their “Young Scholars” are once again embracing the exceptional learning environment of the Hopkins House Preschool Academy. This nationally accredited, Virginia Quality-rated program is recognized as one of the best in the region, providing children with a safe, nurturing, and educational experience led by a remarkable team of educators.
However, many families — particularly those from working-class, military, and low-resourced households — are finding it increasingly difficult to afford quality childcare. With annual costs surpassing $22,000, the financial strain is more pressing than ever.
Last year, Hopkins House awarded $95,921 in tuition and financial assistance to families in need. Despite this impactful support, the demand for assistance has grown exponentially, with the number of families seeking help increasing by an astonishing 240% in just one year — from 134 to 323.
To address this growing need, Hopkins House is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Spring2ACTion Online Fundraising Campaign, with a goal of raising $8,500 for the Preschool Academy Scholarship Fund. This crucial initiative ensures that children from all income levels can access the high-quality early education they deserve.
