Day of Online Giving

March 31, 2014 07:08 PM
Hopkins House is combining efforts with other local nonprofits in a one day, online push for charitable donations on Wednesday, April 9.  This one-day special event, Spring2Action, is sponsored by ACT for Alexandria, the City's community foundation.
With the goal to raise new friends and money for its Children's Scholarship Fund which helps the children of low-resourced and military families attend its preschool academy, Hopkins House seeks to raise $10,000 in donations.
Yearly, Hopkins House provides over $200,000 to over 75 children to help them enroll and remain enrolled in the high-quality child care it provides.  The scholarship fund is supported solely by donations, ranging in size from $5 into the thousands of dollars.
In order to count in this special campaign, contributions must be made online on or before April 9.  Donations may be prescheduled online ator-Children-In-Need.
Founded in 1939, Hopkins House is a nonprofit institution. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law and acknowledged in writing.
