Hopkins House announces the appointment of Mr. BRENT HAWKINS to the post of Assistant Principal of the James L. & Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy. Reporting to the principal, he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the academy.

 

"This promotion is another opportunity for us to promote from within," said Deborah Boateng-Beckson, the principal of the James L. & Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy. "It shows how great our staff is and their commitment to the early childhood education field -- and to the Hopkins House mission."

 

Hawkins has worked in the early care and education field since 2007 and earned progressive promotions throughout his career. Prior to coming to Hopkins House he was a center director at a for-profit preschool.  He joined the Hopkins House faculty in 2017 as a Teacher.

 

A graduate of George Mason University, Hawkins holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He has considerable NAEYC accreditation experience, is proficient in American Sign Language, and has a public trust security clearance. 

 

He is a resident of Virginia and an expectant father.
