Hopkins House is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, elected by the Community Stakeholders and comprised of a broad mix of distinguished members of the community who work or reside in the Washington metropolitan area:

(Class of 2024) Hopkins House Trustee since 2016.
 
Mr. Banks is General Counsel for the Society for Human Resource Management. A resident of Potomac Falls, Virginia, Mr. Banks holds a Juris Doctor degree from University of Virginia. He chairs the Board and its Executive Committee.


 


Bud_HartCHAIR-ELECT - HARRY "BUD" HART. Attorney.
(Class of 2024) Hopkins House Trustee since 1986.

Mr. Hart is an attorney with Hart, Calley, Gibbs, & Karp, P.C.  He holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University and is a resident of Alexandria, Virginia. Bud is a member of the Trustees' Executive Committee.

(Permanent Member) Hopkins House Trustee since 2000.

Mr. Hopkins is the President/CEO of Hopkins House. A resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, Mr. Hopkins holds a master's degree from Columbia University in the City of New York. Glenn is a member of Board of Trustees and its several committees.

(Class of 2021) Hopkins House Trustee since 2010.

Ms. Partoyan is a resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia and holds a master's degree from Howard University. Elizabeth chairs the Trustees' Programs & Assessment Committee and is a member of the Trustees' Executive Committee.

(Class of 2024) Hopkins House Trustee since 2020.

Mr. O'Connell is Senior Vice President at the Center for American Progress (CAP) and a resident of Alexandria, Virginia. He is parent of a Hopkins House Preschool Academy Young Scholar and alumnus and holds a master's degree from Georgetown University. Jesse chairs the Trustees' Budget & Personnel Policy Committee.

Ms. Jakopic is President/CEO of iLead Strategies.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, she holds a master's degree from the University of Maryland. Julie chairs the Trustees' Public Policy & Advocacy Committee.

Mr. Amend is Operations Analyst at Patricio Enterprises, Inc. A resident of Dumfries, Virginia, he is father of a Hopkins House Preschool Academy alumnus and a U.S. Army Veteran. Shaun is Vice Chair of the Trustees' Programs & Assessment Committee.

Ms. Arnett has been a Hopkins House Trustee since 2022. She is Director of Real Estate at Carr Real Estate Services. A resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, she holds a bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers University. Debra is a member of the Trustees' Budget & Personnel Policy Committee.

A resident of Prince William County, Virginia, Ms. Barr holds a bachelor's degree in business and human resources from Strayer University. Beverly chairs the Trustees' Scholarships & Recognitions Committee.

(Class of 2024) Hopkins House Trustee since 2022. 

Ms. Clemens is Assistant City Attorney at the City of Alexandria, Virginia. A resident of Alexandria, Virginia, she is the parent of a Hopkins House Preschool Academy Young Scholar and holds a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington Law School. Helen is a member of the Trustees' Public Policy & Advocacy Committee.

The Honorable Herring is a State Delegate representing the 46th District in the Virginia House of Delegates and Vice President of Administrative & Logistics Services, Inc. A resident of the City of Alexandria, Delegate Herring holds a J.D. degree from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.

Mr. Hicks, now retired, was formerly a teacher with Alexandria City Public Schools. A resident of Falls Church, Virginia, Mr. Hicks holds a master's degree from Virginia State University. Robert is a member of the Trustees' Scholarships & Recognitions Committee.

Mr. Parker is Director of Congressional & Intergovernmental Affairs at the National Governors Association and a resident of Alexandria, Virginia. He holds a bachelor's degree from Longwood University. Stephen is a member of the Trustees' Programs & Assessment Committee.

(Class of 2023) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.

The Honorable Mr. Wilson is Mayor of the City of Alexandria, Principle System Engineer at National Railroad Passenger Corp (Amtrak), and a resident of Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Wilson holds a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
