Early Childhood Learning Institute classes are conveniently located at three centers in the Northern Virginia area. College classes and free childcare are offered at all three locations.

ECLI- Alexandria & Administrative Office     MAP

This building also serves as one of the Early Childhood Learning Institute’s three center locations for Early Childhood Development instruction from Northern Virginia Community College on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The facility is equipped to host up to 30 individuals for classroom instruction with computer access and a projector for electronic Power Point presentations and online lectures. Free childcare is provided on-site during class hours. The Alexandria center is located approximately one mile from the Huntington metro station. With panoramic views of the Potomac watershed, the Masonic temple, and Fairfax County, the Alexandria center is an eclectic blend of modern engineering and old world charm.

ECLI- Arlington     MAP

Through a collaboration with Goodwill of Greater Washington, the Early Childhood Learning Institute hosts up to 25 students each semester at the Arlington Goodwill Career Center at 10 S. Glebe Rd. Arlington, VA 22204 on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The Career Center boasts such amenities as a computer lab, free childcare during class hours, wireless internet access, and accompanying projectors for instructional usage. Conveniently located and metro accessible, the ECLI- Arlington center is a stone’s throw from great restaurants and shopping in nearby Clarendon. 

ECLI- Fairfax County     MAP

Located at 8543 Forest Pl., Alexandria, VA 22309, just off of Richmond Highway, and a short drive to neighboring Ft. Belvoir Army base, the ECLI- Fairfax County center is our third and southernmost facility. Hopkins House’s own McNeil Preschool Academy hosts up to 35 students per semester in this spacious and recently-constructed building. Featuring abundant parking, conveniently located bus routes, multiple classrooms for small group activities, and an expansive and accommodating classroom, the ECLI- Fairfax County center is perfect for modern instructional usage.

ECLI - CDA Prep Center     MAP

Courses are held at Hopkins House’s Helen Day Preschool Academy, located at 1224 Princess St. Alexandria, VA 22314. The CDA course is four months long and meets once a week, on Thursday evenings, from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. Helen Day’s Principal, Marge Maceda, teaches the course. CDA  testing is also offered at this site. CDA classes are offered two semesters each year. Contact your center coordinator  for more details about CDA classes.
