Military Families

Hopkins House welcomes military families! Both Preschool Academies are NACCRRA Approved Providers.

NACCRRA, the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies, works with more than 700 state and local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies nationwide. These agencies help ensure that military families in 99 percent of all populated ZIP codes in the United States have access to high-quality, affordable child care.

NACCRRA is working with the U.S. Military Services to help those who serve in the military find and afford child care that suits their unique needs. Through several innovative civilian/military efforts between the Services, NACCRRA and Child Care Resource and Referral agencies (CCR&Rs) are building the quality and capacity of child care throughout the country.

Military families, through this program, may be eligible for tuition assistance for their children to attend the Hopkins House Preschool Academy.  The Provider ID number for the Helen Day Preschool Academy is 31928.  The Provider ID number for the James L. & Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy is 37768.

The James L. & Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy, located 3 miles from Ft. Belvoir, has partnered with the United States Army to provide high quality childcare to active Army personnel and/or direct Army employed civilians (non-contractor). Army Child Care in Your Neighborhood (ACCYN) program assists local Army families with access to high-quality and affordable child care.

ACCYN was created to meet the high demand for child care by Army families in their communities. The program's main goal is to increase the availability of high-quality, off-post child care options for Army families. The Hopkins House Preschool Academy has met the rigorous Army requirements and has been selected to participate in this program.

In conjunction with NACCRRA, Army families may be eligible for additional assistance through this program.
