Over 200 people were in attendance at the 2011 Venetian Masquerade Ball held on October 29, 2011 at the beautiful Belle Haven Country Club in Fairfax County, VA. Ball attendees enjoyed great food, were entertained by the soulful sounds of Bak N Da Day, competed for wonderful prizes in a silent auction, and were amused by jesters. Emceed by Leon Harris, ABC7/WJLA-TV News Anchor, the Ball captured the essence of the Venetian Experience and was a hit among the guests.
This year's Venetian Masquerade Ball benefitted the Early Childhood Learning Institute (ECLI). The ECLI is Hopkins House's newest program, launched in 2009. In partnership with Northern Virginia Community College and local childcare centers, the ECLI seeks to advance the childcare profession by increasing the pool of college-educated childcare professionals in preschool classrooms throughout the greater Washington, DC area. Through the generous support of individual tickets sales, contributions, and sponsorships, over $80,000 was raised to support this great program.
