CHAIR - ROBERT L. BOGAN, Retired.

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1999.  Mr. Bogan, now retired, was formerly the Director of Business Development at Litton Systems, Inc. A resident of Fort Washington, Maryland, Mr. Bogan holds a Master degree from the University of Southern California.  He is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.

 

VICE CHAIR - MARK EISENHOUR, Associate Principal, Alexandria City Public Schools.

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2001. Mr. Eisenhour is an Assistant Principal with the Alexandria City Public Schools.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Eisenhour holds a Master degree from Marymount University.  He is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.

 

SECRETARY/TREASURER - RICHARD G. COLE, JR., Chief Financial Officer, J.D. Long Masonry.

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1996. Mr. Cole is the CFO of J.D. Long Masonry.   A resident of Fairfax Station, Virginia, Mr. Cole holds a Bachelor degree from Gettysburg College.  He is an Annual Community Stakeholder of the Association.

 

ASSISTANT SECRETARY/TREASURER - JULIE N. JAKOPIC, Managing Partner, Creating the Vision.

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2002.  Ms. Jakopic is Manager at the Development Services Group. A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Ms. Jakopic holds a Masters degree from the University of Maryland.  She is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association and a member of the Association’s Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee. 

 

PRESIDENT - J. GLENN HOPKINS, Chief Executive Officer, Hopkins House.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2000.  Mr. Hopkins is the President/CEO of Hopkins House.  A resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, Mr. Hopkins holds a Master degree from Columbia University in the City of New York.

TRUSTEE - CANDY ADAMS, Sales Representative, Omnifics, Inc.

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2008. Ms. Adams is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association. She is a member of the Resource & Alumni Development Committee.  She is a Sales Representative at Omnifics, Inc.  A resident of Fairfax County, Virginia Ms. Adams holds a Master degree from Vanderbilt University.

 

TRUSTEE - KEVIN BERGEN, Retired.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2007.  Mr. Bergen is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  He is a member of the Association’s Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee.  Mr. Bergen, now retired, was formerly a Probation officer with the Alexandria Probation & Parole Office.  A resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, Mr. Bergen holds a Master degree from Ball State University.

 

TRUSTEE - RICHARD BELLE ISLE, Certified Public Accountant.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2007. Mr. Belle Isle is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  He is a member of the Association’s Budget & Personnel Policy Committee. Mr. Belle Isle is Certified Public Account.  A resident of Marshall, Virginia, Mr. Belle Isle holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Virginia.

 

TRUSTEE - ALISON DECOURCEY, Chief Operating Officer/Implementation Director, Ernst & Young.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2008. Ms. DeCourcey is a Voting Community Stakeholder of the Association. She is a member of the Association’s Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee.  She is a COO/Implementation Director at Ernst & Young's Global Pharmaceutical Practice.   A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia Ms. DeCourcey holds a Master degree from the University of Chicago.

 

TRUSTEE - MARY CATHERINE GIBBS, Partner, Hart, Calley, Gibbs & Karp, P.C.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2003. Ms. Gibbs is a member of the Alexandria Commission on Women and Kiwanis Club.  She is an attorney with Hart, Calley, Gibbs, & Karp, P.C.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Ms. Gibbs has a J.D. degree from the University of Richmond.

 

TRUSTEE - HARRY "BUD" HART, Partner, Hart, Calley, Gibbs & Karp, P.C.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1986.  Mr. Hart is a former Chair of the Board of Trustees.  Mr. Hart is an attorney with Hart, Calley, Gibbs, & Karp, P.C.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Mr. Hart is holds a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.  He is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.

 

TRUSTEE - VALERIA S. HENDERSON, Alumna.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1985.  Ms. Henderson is a former Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.  Ms. Henderson taught in the Alexandria City Public Schools for 29 years before retiring in 1992.  She is a Hopkins House alumna and a member of the Association’s Resource Development & Alumni Affairs Committee.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Ms. Henderson holds a Master degree from Virginia State University. She is a Life Member of the Association. 

 

TRUSTEE - CHARNIELE HERRING, Delegate, Commonwealth of Virginia, 46th District.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.  Delegate Herring is a member of the Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee.  Delegate Herring represents the 46th District in the Virginia House of Delegates.  She is the Vice President of Administrative & Logistics Services, Inc.  She holds a J.D. degree from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.  She is a resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia.  She is an Annual Member of the Association.

 

TRUSTEE - ROBERT HICKS, Teacher, Alexandria City Public Schools.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1999. Mr. Hicks is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the National Education Association, the National Education Association, the Virginia Education Association.  He is a teacher with Alexandria City Public Schools.  A resident of Falls Church, Virginia, Mr. Hicks holds a Master degree from Virginia State University.   A member of the Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee, he is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association. 

 

TRUSTEE - CLARENCE A. JOHNSON, Retired.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1973.  Mr. Johnson is a former Chair and former Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Johnson is a retired engineer/comptroller with Night Vision Laboratory.  He is Treasurer of the Virginia State NAACP and the Alexandria Chapter, and a trustee at Shiloh Baptist Church.  A resident of Fairfax County, Mr. Johnson holds a Master degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  He is a member of the Association’s Budget & Personnel Policy Committee.

 

TRUSTEE - JEFF KLINE, President/CEO, Island Magic Vending, LLC.
(Class of 2010).  Hopkins House Trustee since 2008.  Mr. Kline is a member of the Association’s Assessment & Strategic Planning Committee.  He is the President/CEO of Island Magic Vending, LLC.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Kline holds a MBA degree from Harvard.
 He is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder.

 

TRUSTEE - GREGORY H. LEISCH, President/CEO, Delta Associates.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 1996.  Mr. Leisch is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  Mr. Leisch is President/CEO of Delta Associates, Inc.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Leisch holds a Master degree from the University of Wisconsin.

 

TRUSTEE - AMY LIU WITMER, Deputy Director, Brookings Institution.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2007. Ms. Liu is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  She is a member of the Association’s Assessment & Strategic Planning Committee.  She is Deputy Director of the Brookings Institution. A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Ms. Liu holds a Bachelor degree from Northwestern University.

 

TRUSTEE - LINDA MARTIN, Senior Vice President of Virginia Commerce Bank. 

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2007. Ms. Martin is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association. She is the Vice Chair of the Association’s Resource Development & Alumni Affairs Committee.  Ms. Martin is a Senior Vice President of Virginia Commerce Bank.  A resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, Ms. Martin holds a Bachelor degree from George Mason University.

 

TRUSTEE - JAMES MCNEIL, President, McNeil Family Foundation.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.  Mr. McNeil is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  He is a member of the Budget & Personnel Policy Committee.  Mr. McNeil is the President of the McNeil Family Foundation and formerly the CEO of McNeil Technologies.  He is a resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia and holds a M.B.A. degree from Averett University.

 

TRUSTEE - JULIETTE MCNEIL, Retired.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2007. Ms. McNeil is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association. She is a member of the Association’s Budget & Personnel Policy Committee.  Ms. McNeil, now retired, is a former Director at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Ms. McNeil holds a Bachelors degree from Alabama State University.

 

TRUSTEE - KRISTINA MESSNER, Vice President of Public Relations, Focused Image.

(Class of 2011)  Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.  Ms. Messner is a member of the Agency’s Community Outreach and Public Advocacy Committee.  She is a Vice President of Public Relations at Focused Image.  A resident of Arlington, VA, Ms. Messner holds a Bachelors degree from George Washington University.

 

TRUSTEE - ALVIN E. NASHMAN, Retired.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2004. Dr. Nashman is a member of the Inova Foundation and a participant at the Carnegie Institution of Washington.  A resident of Falls Church, Virginia, Dr. Nashman holds a Doctoral degree from Pacific University.  He is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.

 

TRUSTEE - SYRINDA ELIZABETH PAIGE, Wealth Management Advisor, Morgan Stanley.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.  Ms. Paige is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association and a member of the Agency’s Resource Development & Alumni Affairs Committee. She is a Wealth Management Advisor with Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management.  A resident of Falls Church, VA Ms. Paige holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Virginia.

 

TRUSTEE - LEE QUILL, Founding Principal, Cunningham + Quill Architects.
(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2006. Mr. Quill serves on the Association's Community Outreach & Public Education Committee.   A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Quill holds a Bachelor degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

 

TRUSTEE - DEBORAH SCHOEMER, Registered Nurse, Alexandria City Public Schools.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2007. Ms. Schoemer is a Lifetime Community Stakeholder of the Association.  She is a member of the Association’s Assessment & Strategic Planning Committee.  Ms. Schoemer is a Registered Nurse for the Alexandria City Public Schools.  A resident of Lorton, Virginia, Ms. Schoemer holds a Master degree from Cambridge College.

 

TRUSTEE - HOLLY SLOAN, Registered Nurse, Alexandria City Public Schools.

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009. She is a member of the Association’s Assessment & Strategic Planning Committee.  Ms. Sloan is the Founder and a Board member of the Giving Circle of Alexandria. A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Ms. Sloan holds a M.S.W. degree from Hunter College.

 

TRUSTEE - HOWARD-JOHN WESLEY, Senior Pastor, Alfred Street Baptist Church.

(Class of 2011) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.  Reverend Doctor Wesley is the Senior Pastor of Alfred Street Baptist Church.  He is a resident of Fairfax County, Virginia and a member of the Association’s Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee. He holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Northern Baptist Seminary.

 

TRUSTEE - JUSTIN M. WILSON, Principle System Engineer, National Railroad Passenger Corp (Amtrak).

(Class of 2010) Hopkins House Trustee since 2009.  Mr. Wilson is a member of the Association's Community Outreach & Public Advocacy Committee.  He is a former member of the Alexandria City Council and former Chairman of the Alexandria Transit Company (DASH).  A resident of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr. Hopkins joined the staff in 1991. He has a Master degree from Columbia University in the City of New York.  He has over 20 years of education and non-profit management experience and is a resident of Virginia.

Office of the Trustees and President
Mr. Monterio joined the staff in 2008. He has a Bachelor degree from the University of Wisconsin.  He has over 20 years of banking and senior management experience and is a resident of Virginia.

Ms. Beach joined the staff in 2006. She has a Bachelor degree from American University and is a resident of  Virginia.

Mr. Morris joined the staff in 2008. He has an Associate degree from Southeastern University in the District of Columbia and is a resident of Maryland.

Ms. Maceda joined the Hopkins House staff in 2009.  She has a Master degree from the University of the District of Columbia in Education Administration and Supervision and over 20 years of professional childcare experience. Ms. Maceda is a resident of the District of Columbia.

 

PRESCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL – RAYMEL MENEFEE
Early Childhood Programs Department
Mr. Menefee joined the Hopkins House staff in 2009. He has a Master degree in Early Childhood Development from Ohio State University and over 10 years teaching experience. Mr. Menefee is a resident of Maryland.

Ms. Holmes joined the Hopkins House staff in 2004.  She has a CDA and is currently studying for her Associate's degree.  She certified in CPR and first aid, and has over eighteen years of professional childcare experience.  Ms. Holmes is a resident of the District of Columbia.

Ms. Uriona joined the Hopkins House staff in 2006. She has a Bachelors degree in Education and has over four years of professional childcare experience. Ms. Uriona is a resident of Virginia.

Ms. Blassingame joined the staff in 2001. She has a CDA is currently studying for her Associate degree. Ms. Blassingame has over four years of not-for-profit experience and is certified in CPR, first aid and food handling.  Ms. Blassingame is a resident of the District of Columbia.

Ms. Buck joined the staff in 2008. She has a Bachelors degree from Jackson State University and has over seven years of professional childcare experience. Ms. Buck is a resident of Maryland.

Family Education Programs Department
Mr. Walker joined the staff in 2006. He has a B.A. degree from Morgan State University.  He formerly served as Director of Family Education Programs at Hopkins House. He lives with his family in Maryland.

Mr. Sampson joined the staff in 2007. He has a Bachelor degree from Tugaloo College and is a resident of Virginia.

Ms. Miser joined the Hopkins House staff in 2008. She has a Bachelors degree from Norfolk State University and has over nine years of professional childcare experience. Ms. Miser is a resident of Virginia.

 Ms. Carter joined the Hopkins House staff in 2008. She is currently working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education and has over eight years of professional childcare experience. Ms. Carter is a resident of Virginia.
