TYPES OF POSITIONS: Hopkins House employs Principals, Assistant Principals, Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Secretaries for its preschool academies; and, Managers for its administrative offices.

employmentMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education positions at Hopkins House require, at minimum, a college degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education. Management and administrative positions require, at minimum, a college degree and one or more years of supervisory experience. All prospective employees must undergo criminal and child abuse background check, must be 18 years or older, and a United States citizen.

  Assistant Principal / Preschool Academy
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of the Preschool Academy education staff; implementation of the academy curriculum and lesson plans; and, serving in the absence of the Principal.
 
* Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related discipline.
 
* Must have 1 or more years of professional supervisory or managerial experience in a licensed childcare facility or school.

* Must have knowledge of computers and computing (specifically MSOffice).

* Must have CPR/First Aid and Food Handling certifications.

* Must have excellent verbal and writing skills, as well as demonstrated organizational skills and curriculum experience.  

* Must be willing to work regular early morning and late evening hours.  

* Experience in a NAYEC accredited program desir
able but not required.

* Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language helpful but not required.
